Students in the 2016 Crestview Police Youth Academy meet officers from the Crestview Police SWAT team.

The Crestview Police Department proudly provides innovative and effective programs for the city’s young people. Our Community Service Division’s Youth Academy is such a program. Taught by professional, trained and certified law enforcement officers, it is designed to establish a positive relationship between the Police Department and the city’s youth and their families.

The Youth Academy’s goals are to:

• Enhance responsible citizenship

• Provide positive interaction with police officers

• Educate kids about the challenges and responsibilities of police work

• Encourage young people to take part in other youth programs offered by the Police Department, such as the Law Enforcement Explorers.

The 2017 Crestview Police Youth Academy is a one-week, Monday through Friday program. Choose either the July 24-28 or July 31-August 4, 2017, academy. There are two daily sessions: 9 a.m.– noon for younger children ages 7 to 11, and 1–4 p.m. for older children ages 12 to15
