Drug Arrest and Unrelated Drug Discovery
The Crestview Police Department attempted a traffic stop of a vehicle at the intersection of Ferdon Boulevard and Walmart Road in Crestview yesterday morning shortly after 10:00 a.m. The vehicle attempted to flee from officers. The vehicle made a sudden stop on Nicole Lane, at which time the driver and passengers attempted to flee from the vehicle.
The driver, who was attempting to flee on foot was tased and promptly taken into custody. During the arrest, there was more than 28 grams of marijuana and 24 grams of cocaine discovered in the vehicle along with approximately $1700.00 in US Currency.
The Crestview Police Department arrested 28 year old, Robert Harrison Allen and charged him with Fleeing and Eluding Law Enforcement at High Speed, Possession of Cocaine with Intent to Sell, Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Sell, Criminal Mischief More than $200.00 and Resisting Arrest Without Violence. Mr. Allen was delivered into the custody of the Okaloosa County Jail.
In an unrelated drug incident, as additional officers searched the neighborhood for the passenger that fled from the vehicle, officers observed 25 plants of marijuana growing in plain view in the back yard of a residence located at 112 Trenton Avenue, which is the street behind Nicole Lane where the traffic stop was conducted.
The Crestview Police Department’s Special Enforcement Team executed a search warrant at the residence and seized the marijuana plants. The Crestview Police Department arrested 29 year old, Lareina Theressia Sherrod of 112 Trenton Avenue, and charged her with Manufacture/Cultivation of Marijuana. She was delivered into the custody of the Okaloosa County Jail without incident.
